Hello! I’m Mary. Welcome to my little piece of the internet!
I am on a quest to be the best version of myself that I can be. My Grandparents used to say, “Every day, in every way, through the grace of God, I’m getting better and better.” They believed that self-improvement is a journey, and we never arrive. (Understand my website name now?!?!) Through the years, I have realized that it is easy to get complacent, and the self-improvement journey can quickly turn into a rest break, or worse, a detour in the wrong direction! I’m using this blog as a way to document the deliberate steps that I take in my never ending journey of getting better and better.
A bit more about me…
I am 32 years old, and I live in Orlando, Florida with my new husband, Chuck, and our three little pups – Jake, Zoey, and Cash. (Jake and Zoey are malteses, and Cash is a mutt.) Chuck and I have been together since September of 2009, and we (finally) tied the knot on February 1, 2014. I have an older brother and a younger sister, and I am what some might call a classic middle child – eager to keep the peace and please others. I am the proud Aunt to two amazing nieces and three terrific nephews, and I make sure to spend quality “Aunt Mar” time with them as much as possible.

One of my major goals in life is to live to be over 100. I don’t want to just “make it” to 100, however. I want to be active, happy, and full of life at 100, so I try to make good choices now that will increase the likelihood of this dream coming true.
I love traveling, eating (mostly primal/paleo but with plenty of treats thrown in), watching tv, making my house a home, running, and spending time with family and friends. Most importantly, I love being Chuck’s sidekick.
I hope you enjoy We Never Arrive! If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email me at WeNeverArrive@gmail.com.
